Women and youth taking action for peace: who is a peacebuilder?

“Peace processes” are often understood as formal negotiations between the armed parties of a conflict culminating in the signing of a peace agreement. At Geneva Peace Week 2025, we are presenting a workshop in which we propose a more comprehensive understanding of peace processes. This understanding recognises the complexities and recognises the diverse actions and roles of women and youth in peacebuilding. Together with the participants we deconstruct common assumptions.

How women influence peace processes

Our colleague Camille Bernheim will speak on 12 October 2025 about the role of women in peace processes at the event "Revolution No. 1 – War and PEACE" in Berlin.

Webinar: Intergenerational Peacebuilding

The webinar on Intergenerational Peacebuilding is open to members of our network Feminists Connecting for Peace and other interested peacebuilders. For security reasons, registration is mandatory.

Sudan focus at Arab Film Festival

After the overthrow of Sudanese dictator Omar al-Bashir in 2019, the country experienced a brief phase of relief and hope. Two years later, the civilian government was deposed in a military coup - and in 2023, civil war broke out. This led to widespread violence, including rapes and massacres, and the displacement of millions of Sudanese. Rabab Baldo, activist and member of our network Feminists Connecting for Peace, will take part in the Sudan panel at the Arab Film Festival on 5 April 2025.
