During an evening of conversation, encounter and reflection in Bern, Colombian feminist activists will join researchers and peacebuilding practitioners to reflect on the strategies and advances of women peace activists working against the gender backlash and militarisation in Colombia and beyond.

The event will consist of a panel discussion and an interactive reflection and dialogue space. Guests will also have the opportunity for a first encounter with Making Peace Work, an art installation featuring photographs, Colombian artwork and handicrafts. Refreshments will be served at the event.

Please note: the event will take place in English and Spanish, with consecutive translation.

• Olga Milena Barona, social leader, artist and activist from Confluencia de Vallecaucanas 

• Suayan Barón Melgarejo, director of PeaceWomen Across the Globe's Colombia office
